Iran's first step towards space
Iran has claimed is has put its first military satellite into orbit , further raising tension with the US at a time the two countries are already facing off in the Persian gulf.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps said the satellite "Noor " was in 425 km high orbit , after a successful launch. Iran launched its first civilian satellite in 2009.
Iran has failed four times previously on putting up its satellite into orbit , but finally a good sign of bless came around them.
The small military craft, named Noor , flew into orbit on top of a multi stage QASED ROCKET acc. To Iranian state media.
Iranian officials did not release any advance notice of launch, which occurred form the Shahroud missile range in northeastern part of the country.
